At Avjet | TSAS, we recognize that supporting sustainability initiatives and our environmental responsibility is at the heart of our long-term success. Over the past few years, we have chosen to invest in the future of our industry, in particular through innovative electrification projects to reduce our carbon footprint and through our involvement in facilitating production and supply of environmentally friendly aviation fuels.
It’s by one action at a time that we will reinvent our industry.
OUR VISION OF SUSTAINABILITY
Every day, we focus on the long-term development of our business by constantly improving our practices.
We invest in the future of our business sector, in particular through a project to electrify our ground service equipment as well as through the development of a partnership offering environmentally friendly aviation fuels.
WE PARTICIPATE ACTIVELY IN SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS.
As a key player in aviation fuel in Canada, we aim to drive change and make our industry more sustainable.
We are a founding member of the Canadian Sustainable Aviation Fuel Council (C-SAF).

C-SAF is a non-profit organization that brings together all players in the aerospace chain to facilitate the production and supply of affordable, low-carbon, Canadian-made sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).
​
Comprised of leaders from the Canadian aviation ecosystem, the committee's mission is to accelerate the deployment of SAF in Canada, to ensure that the aviation sector remains competitive in its transition to a carbon-neutral future.
C-SAF
We've teamed up with Electro Carbon to become Canada's green, local runway de-icing solution.
​
Electro Carbon is a Quebec-based company that has developed an innovative electrochemical process to produce a non-corrosive, fully biodegradable de-icing product (potassium formate) made from CO2. The potassium formate currently used in airports is made from petroleum and imported mainly from Asia and the Middle East.
​
For Avjet, we will leverage our extensive distribution network to become the exclusive supplier of the product to Canadian airports. Market launch is scheduled for 2026.
ELECTRO CARBON
Since 2015, we have been working towards electrifying our entire fleet of vehicles and equipment, whether through the purchase of electric equipment or the conversion of our existing equipment to electric power.
Through our partnership with a local engineering firm, we created a revolutionary kit to convert fuel powered baggage tractors into electric baggage tractors with exceptional performance. This conversion kit is revolutionary and strategic as it uses a variety of recycled materials, reduces the risk of environmental contamination as well as green house gas emissions.
We are proud to work with innovative and support local sustainable development.

EQUIPMENT CONVERSION PROJECT
OUR SUSTAINABLE INTERNAL STRATEGY
We promote greener choices by engaging our teams in our strategy. This includes the establishment of a Green Committee, which presents eco-responsible initiatives:
